Experience Hong Kong in the best possible way!

Month: September, 2012

In Stanley Market I found this beautiful “sunbrella” to protect myself from the searing sun here in Hong Kong! I think it is absolutely adorable! I paid 158 HK dollars for it and it is all handmade.

If you feel like escaping the big city in Hong Kong, the small, peaceful and tranquil village called Stanley is the place to go! You can go here either by bus or cab (the taxi cost around 100 HK dollars from Central). Stanley is named after Lord Stanley ( a secretary during the period when Hong Kong still was a british colony) and is located in the southern parts of Hong Kong.  It takes about 30 minutes with cab from Central to Stanley. Whilst visiting this little cute village I recommend taking a look at the cosy market as well as walking along Stanley Main Street on the beachfront. On the market you can find beautiful paintings, silk products, pearls, clothes, scarves and “sunbrellas”. Stanley also offers a lot of different restaurants and cafes, all located against the water to offer the perfect view of the sea.

Alice + Olivia skirt

A couple of days ago I bought this skirt from Alice + Olivia. I found it in Horizon Plaza and I just knew I had to have it! It is just my style! I am heading to the MTR to have my evening lesson now, so I will give you a sneek peek of the skirt, and then I will give you a full view of the skirt later tonight! 😉

Jewellery Box

I bought this marvelous jewellery box at “Chinese Products” (the department store I told you about before that only sells chinese products). I absolutely love it! It is such a nice piece of handcraft and the details are just spectacular! It is made out of wood and has gold details! Smashing! Furthermore, I have also learnt that the symbol/chinese characteristic on top of the box means happiness. Feels good to have such a element in my room! 1 900 HK dollars I paid for this jewellery box, it will certainly be a nice memory from Hong Kong.

Best of Today

Best of Today:

1. Downton Abbey. I absolutely love this series, it is so good! The clothes, the environment, the romance…. I am so looking forward to season 3!!! Warning though: When you start watching, it will be hard to stop!!! 😉

2. Sunglasses from Juicy Couture, perfect for the searing sun here in Hong Kong!

3. Leather skirt, huge trend this autumn! Black leather is the thing!

4. The perfume Coco Mademoiselle from Chanel… classy, chic, stylish… do I need to say anything more?

5. I adore the color of my scarf from the Swedish brand Filippa K, it makes rainy days much more colorful! 🙂

5. Black and white pumps from Chanel. These are the shoes that I love the most in my wardrobe and who wouldn´t? They are fantastic! As well as many of my pumps, these ones are bought in a vintage shop in Stockholm!

Horizon Plaza

I thought I might give you some more information about this really good outlet I have found here in Hong Kong, Horizon Plaza. The outlet is located in Lee Hing Street/Ap Lei Chau and contains of several individual stores. The tower block has 28 floors with a lot of stores both with clothes but also with interior design as well as furniture. Here are the stores I think you should visit at Horizon Plaza:

1. Joyce Warehouse. Here you can find every brand you could possible dream of and the store is very well organized.

2. Lane Crawford Warehouse. Here you can find really good things to good prices, but you have to search to find the goodies. They have all the nice brands you can imagine e.g. Alice + Olivia, Armani, Pucci, Alexander McQueen, Lanvin.

3. Bluebell Fashion Warehouse. They have a big selection of Blumarine, Moschino and Anya Hindmarch as well as a huge range of shoes from Jimmy Choo. The things here are usually discounted with 50 % but they have a lot of beautiful things.

When you have shopped until you dropped, there is a lovely little cafe on the 28th floor, Tree Café. The different varieties of cheesecakes and pies are really good.

OBS! Keep in mind that there is no refund or exchanges for purchases at outlet stores!

Hello! Today I have been shopping on the best outlet in Hong Kong!!! (or at least the best one I have found so far… 😉 ) The outlet is located in Ap Lei Chau and is called Horizon Plaza. I found one pretty cool and unique skirt from a japanese brand called Toga. I really love the mix of material represented in the skirt and I thought it would be suitable as the autumn now i approaching here in Hong Kong! Besides the skirt, I also found a basic, but still elegant blouse/shirt from Alice + Olivia. I absolutely adore that brand! I have bought a lot of things from them and I always feel so beautiful wearing their clothes.
